This basement features a mix of modern farmhouse with sports den vibes to create the perfect place for this family of five to spend their time. To help the design have a cohesive feel, we opted for a light and neutral color scheme with pops of dark bronze that help ground the space and give the moodiness of a sports bar.

The brick fireplace become the perfect spot to merge the two styles. The white painted brick and shiplap create the perfect canvas for the light stained floating shelves that showcase their amazing collection of signed memorabilia.

The floors were done in a light oak looking vinyl plank and the walls were painted in Sherwin Williams Repose Gray, that perfect blend of light and beige that complimented the floors but still feel light.

The bar features dark stained cabinets, dark soapstone looking quartz and a fun matte gray hexagon backsplash. Keeping the bar dark added some of the darker elements to the space and helps bridge the design styles together.

The matte black pendants with copper interior and metal barstools helped bring in farmhouse elements.

We wanted the space to be open and have different zones that flow into each other. Allocating different zones allowed the space to be functional and intentional. Placing the game zone by the bar felt like the perfect place, tucked by the corner and close the bar. We wanted the game zone to be out of the walk-ways but still feel close to the action.

To help add drama and intrigue, we designed a beautiful wainscot paneled wall painted in Sherwin Williams in Urbane Bronze that helped add depth and dimension to this long hallway.

The bathroom is one of our favorite spaces in the house. The fun encaustic tile mixed with the dark painted shiplap contrasted by the bright white subway tile helps create a moody and bright room. The bath feels welcoming and inviting while maintaining the moody vibe. The rustic wood vanity was the perfect pop of warmth against the dark wall and helped keep the space from falling flat.

For the gym we kept the Repose Gray walls but opted for a black rubber flooring. We decided to keep the space open and having a framed doorway over a door and love how it makes the space feel bigger and more inviting.
