When you first meet our client you cant help but notice her warm personality and love for bold colors and patterns. When she began talking about her basement remodel she knew 2 things: it had to be fun and had to have a recording studio. As a voice after actor and the host of her own Podcast, she really wanted to be able to record in her home and make the basement an extension of herself, a place to feel inspired.

For most of the basement we kept the palette neutral with warm greys and taupes but with pops of bold and bright colors mixed in.

While the kitchenette is calm and collected the striking emerald green backsplash brings the unexpected and was the starting point for the whole design.

Bold patterned wallpaper was used to bring in the color and help hide the electrical panel.

The basement ceiling height isn’t tall, but the large windows and light neutral paint color makes the space seem larger and brighter.

She hosts a podcast with her daughter in hopes of inspiring other young girls— she wanted her basement to be a place where she was inspired

For the bathroom, we continued the emerald green theme and on the vanity. The rest of the bathroom was black and white tile to help pop the green vanity.

The recording studio is light bright and everything the client dreamed of. It truly is a place to feel empowered and inspired.

The basement also features a gym.
